On August 28, WTS – an international network of law firms focused on the tax area and present in over 100 countries (and of which Machado Associados is the representative in Brazil) –, and Lataxnet – an alliance of law firms of which Machado Associados is a co-founder and manager, and relies on the participation of 18 law firms in Latin America – promoted the discussion panel “On Recent Tax Developments and Investment Opportunities in Latin America”, in Rio de Janeiro. The event, supported by the German-Brazilian Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Rio de Janeiro, took place from 3:30 to 5:00 PM, at the LSH Barra Hotel. Luís Rogério G. Farinelli, partner of the Tax area, moderated the event, that also had as lecturers:Erika Tukiama, also a partner of the Tax area; Maurício Ambrosi Herrera (Turanzas, Bravo & Ambrosi, of Mexico); César Luna Victoria/Karen Temoche (Rubio Leguia Normand, of Peru), Adrián Rodríguez (Lewin & Wills Abogados, of Colombia); and Juan Marcos Rougès (Rosso Alba, Francia & Asociados Abogados, of Argentina).
